Professional Learning at Silver Spruce
At Silver Spruce Elementary, we believe that great schools are built by great educators who are committed to continuous growth and learning. Our teachers participate in ongoing professional learning designed to strengthen their practice and support the success of every student. Each staff member develops personalized professional learning goals, and our professional development is responsive to the needs of both our educators and our students. Our team is trained in the Science of Reading, UFLI Foundations explicit phonics instruction, EL Education curriculum, thinkSRSD writing, and enVision Mathematics. Through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs), teachers collaborate regularly to analyze student learning, refine instruction, and share best practices.
As an EL Education school, we are committed to creating classrooms where students are actively engaged in meaningful, authentic learning. Our focus is on developing curious, confident learners who are empowered to think critically, solve problems, collaborate with others, and take ownership of their learning.
Our ultimate goal is to create safe, joyful learning environments where every student is known, valued, challenged, and inspired to reach their full potential.
