Special Education

At Silver Spruce Elementary, we believe every child is known, valued, and empowered. Special Education is an essential part of our multi-tiered system of support and reflects our commitment to ensuring all students have access to a safe, inclusive, and meaningful learning experience. We recognize that every learner brings unique strengths, talents, and needs to our school community. For students who qualify for specialized services, we provide individualized support designed to help them access grade-level learning, build independence, and achieve their personal goals. Our special education team works collaboratively with classroom teachers, related service providers, and families to ensure students receive the support they need while remaining connected to their peers and school community.

 

Through inclusive practices, high expectations, and a strengths-based approach, we create learning environments where students feel a sense of belonging and are encouraged to take risks, persevere through challenges, and celebrate growth. We believe that all students can learn, contribute, and thrive when provided with the appropriate support and opportunities.
