What do I need to register my student(s) at Silver Spruce Elementary?

What if we are living with friends or family?

How soon can my student(s) start?

If you are coming to our school once the school year has started:

Once you have completed the online registration application, you will receive notification from the district that your application has been approved. Our registrar will contact you shortly after we have been notified of your assignment to our school, and then it takes about 2 school days before your student will start.

If you are coming to our school before the new school year has started:

Once you have completed the online registration application, you will receive notification from the district that your application has been approved. You will receive a welcome email from the registrar shortly afterward. Note: The summer months are the busiest time for registration. It can take a week or more for applications to be approved. You can also use your application number to check online. Be sure to check your spam/junk folder, as many emails end up here.

What if I live outside the District or boundary area but want to apply to Silver Spruce Elementary?

My student currently attends Silver Spruce Elementary

I live at the same address. Do I enroll my student(s) for the next school year?

Your student(s) will automatically move to the next grade level. You will receive an email about classroom assignments and other beginning-of-year information near the end of July. You will also receive information about Express Check-In at this time.
Preschool students should also automatically move to the next grade level if they live within our attendance boundaries. See information above.

I have moved but still live within Silver Spruce Elementary’s boundaries. How do I register my student(s) for the next school year?

Your student(s) will automatically move to the next grade level. You will receive an email about classroom assignments and other beginning-of-year information near the end of July. You will also receive information about Express Check-In at this time.
You must provide us with a copy of your new proof of residence — a lease agreement or Warranty Deed/Deed of Trust (we cannot use a bill or driver's license as proof of residence) — as soon as possible.

I have moved but do not live within Silver Spruce Elementary’s boundaries. I would like my child to attend Silver Spruce Elementary. How do I register my student(s) for the next school year?

I have moved but do not live in Douglas County anymore. I would like my child to attend Silver Spruce Elementary. How do I register my student(s) for the next school year?

It is during the school year, and our family has moved. We still live within Silver Spruce's boundaries. What do I need to do?

It is during the school year, and our family has moved. We do not live within Silver Spruce’s boundaries anymore. Can my student(s) continue to attend Silver Spruce Elementary?

It is during the school year, and our family has moved. We do not live in Douglas County anymore. Can my student(s) continue to attend Silver Spruce Elementary?

It is during the school year, and our family has moved. My student(s) currently attend a different Douglas County school, but we now live within Silver Spruce's boundaries. What do I need to do if I want my student to change schools now?

You must provide us with a copy of your new proof of residence — a lease agreement or Warranty Deed/Deed of Trust (we cannot use a bill or driver's license as proof of residence) — as soon as possible.
You do not need to complete an online registration application. If your student(s) attend a charter school, please email the registrar at your current school for information on what steps are required.

It is summer, and our family has moved. My student(s) currently attend a different Douglas County school, but we now live within Silver Spruce's boundaries. What do I need to do if I want my student to change schools for the upcoming school year?

You must provide us with a copy of your new proof of residence — a lease agreement or Warranty Deed/Deed of Trust (we cannot use a bill or driver's license as proof of residence) — as soon as possible.
You do not need to complete an online registration application. You will receive an email about classroom assignments and other beginning-of-year information near the end of July. You will also receive information about Express Check-In at this time.
